Bob Jacobs is a retired Fisheries Biologist having worked 39 years for the State of Connecticut, where he was Supervisor of Connecticut's Inland Fisheries Warmwater Management Program, which included the Statewide Lake and Pond Electrofishing Survey. He has authored two field guides: "A Fisheries Guide to Lakes and Ponds of Connecticut" and "A Pictorial Guide to Freshwater Fishes of Connecticut."

Peggy, his wife, is an avid nature lover and photographer. Together they love fishing, camping, hiking, and photo-recording the plants and animals they find.
