I'm a quiet field mycologist interested in
- visual ID, especially of North American agarics
- relationships among mushroom forms (the simple shape-based categories we sort them into),
- phylogeny/evolution, taxonomy, scientific nomenclature, and common names.
I've been paying attention to mushrooms since 2010.
Things I'm doing:

I keep track of the genus-level names of agarics and Agaricales, with up-to-date information on their taxonomic placements, nomenclatural status, sequencing status, and so on at www.agaric.us. My thoughts and suggestions for mushroom common names are there too.
