Specialist in the identification of parasite flies (Diptera, Tachinidae) and also dabbling with other calyptrate flies. In my spare time I help run the UK Tachinid Recording Scheme with Matt Smith and look after Hartslock Nature Reserve, near Goring-on-Thames. I work at the Natural History Museum in London in the Angela Marmont Centre for UK Biodiversity where I am the UK Biodiversity Information Manager. I have responsibility for maintaining the UK Species Inventory; managing the Identification and Advisory Service team; looking after visitor facilities and liaising with specialist curators regarding the UK training and reference collections on out floor.
